The 6th annual OctoberFest will be a family-friendly event to bring community members and neighbors together to celebrate all things fall, while supporting older adults in Hayden. A free 1.5-hour sketch-a-bird workshop taught by local artist Joanne Orce with Nature’s Educators’ live birds. The feathered models for the morning will be chosen from Nature’s Educators’ live birds. The session also includes Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Sandhill Crane taxidermy. Sketching supplies provided by the Library and Steamboat Art Museum. All ages are welcome to take part in this free workshop.
Nature’s Educators host an interactive booth to visit with live birds of prey for the 15th annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival. Visit with live birds of prey on the Library Lawn. Learn about the birds and the physical and behavioral adaptations they have that help them survive in their environment. Meet some real raptors and scavengers, and learn their personal stories and amazing features. All ages are welcome for this FREE event.
