Boys & Girls Clubs – Summer Counselor In Training (CIT)Boys & Girls Clubs

The Counselor in Training position will allow children entering 8th and 9th grade to work with children ages 6 -8, experience our community, learn resilience skills, positive mentoring tools, community service, and have fun while earning their first paycheck.  The Club has started this program to create a pipeline for our junior staff positions (ages 15 – 18) and engage our members who might be too young to be part of our junior staff and too old for the Mary Brown Teen Center.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Colorado – Summer Internship

Spend your summer making a difference! This full-time, 40 hrs/week, $18/hr. Responsibilities include supervising youth (ages 6-14), leading activities and field trips, and fostering a positive environment. Benefits include paid luxury townhome lodging, CPR certification, youth development training, and a potential $1,000 bonus. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related post-secondary program, have strong communication skills, and love working with kids. Experience with diverse youth and behavior management is a plus. Help us create a place for all kids to BE GREAT.  Assist full time staff with STEAM, arts and craft, gym games, healthy life habits and more.  Mentor children ages 6 – 10 to help them be their best selves.  All positions pay $18 – $23 per hour, full time available in the summer.  During the school year, shifts range from 2:30pm – 6pm and all day on school days off.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Colorado – Jr. Staff Positions

Position pays $16- $17 per hour depending on qualifications + end of summer bonus.  After school hours from 2:00/3:30pm-6:00pm, school days off and summer 7:00am-6:00pm, flexible schedules are offered and closed on weekends. Shifts range from 2.5 hours to 4 hours on after school days and 4 to 8 hours on school days off and summer days. Must be 15 years or older to apply. High school staff receive help with building positive work ethics, customer service skills, life skills, college prep, career planning etc. More information at the link.

Natural Resource Internship Program with Rocky Mountain Youth Corp

Natural Resource Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit. Partners include the United States Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, the Colorado Youth Corps Association, and a growing circle of agency and non-profit partners.
