Adaptive Rock Climbing
Support your child’s confidence and coordination through adaptive rock climbing alongside same-aged peers. These small-group classes are designed for children and adults with disabilities. All climbing levels are welcome, and instruction will be tailored to each participant’s needs. Participants will build strength, balance, coordination, confidence, and problem-solving skills through fun climbing games and challenges. Classes are led by pediatric physical therapist Dr. Erika Barger, PT, DPT, PCS.
Please have your rock climber wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and bring a water bottle. Harness and shoes will be provided. Siblings and friends are welcome to join for an additional $20! Caregivers may drop off at the start of class and pick up at the end.
Dates: Fridays, May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29
Location: Steamboat Climbing Collective
Cost: $65 per class or $200 for a 4-class pack, $50 per class.
Class Schedule:
Summit Seekers, ages 18+: 2:00–3:00 PM
Mini Movers, ages 3–6: 3:00–4:00 PM
Adventure Athletes, ages 7–17: 4:00–5:00 PM
