Bagels are always a good idea after a run. Check-in opens at 7:30 a.m. Fun run starts at 7:45 a.m. Your RSVP includes a group run or walk 1 mile, 5k/10k up the resort. Run/walk starts at 7:40 AM, and enjoy sips and bites together afterwards.

This event is family and stroller friendly! Dogs are welcome for the run too! Discover Brunch Running: the inclusive social run club that celebrates two things. Our only request? Make sure you stay for brunch! Brunch.

Old Town Hot Springs New Pools Opening Celebration

Join us on Sunday, June 1, for a day of fun and festivities as we officially celebrate our four brand-new pools! Bring the whole family and dive into an afternoon filled with music, water activities, and a free BBQ lunch. From belly flops to treasure hunts, water slides to Aqua Zumba—there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Come early to snag a free swim cap (first 100 guests) and be part of this exciting milestone in our community. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Event activities are included for members and with the purchase of a day pass.

Art in the Park with Steamboat Creates

Art in the Park is one of the largest arts festivals in Northwest Colorado that draws local artists and artists from around the country displaying a wide variety of hand-made art. This family-friendly festival is free to the public and offers something for everyone.

120+ artists vendors with booths featuring handmade products ranging from clay, paintings, sculptures, clothes, leather and crafts.

The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series

The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series is held at Brent Romick Arena in downtown Steamboat. The festivities include live music, BBQ and an amazing rodeo! Gates open at 5:30 PM, Music and BBQ start at 6:00 PM, Performances start at 7:30 PM.

The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series offers exciting opportunities for kids to participate in the action. Children aged 6 to 12 can join the Calf Scramble, where they dash around the arena aiming to grab a ribbon from a calf’s tail. For the younger ones, the Ram Scramble invites kids 5 and under to chase a sheep in a similar fun-filled challenge. These events are free with rodeo admission and provide memorable experiences for young participants.

Kids under 6 get free admission to the Rodeo, prices vary for kids ages 7 – 18 and adults depending on your preferred seating.

Open Rehearsal at Strings Music Pavillion | Rhapsody in Blue

All ages are invited to the Strings Pavilion for an Open Rehearsal as classical musicians prepare for the upcoming concert: Rhapsody in Blue.

Peer behind the curtain as classical musicians prepare for an exciting performance. This event is open to the public, giving families and friends an exclusive opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of concert preparation. Children of all ages are welcome to attend!

Steamboat Free Summer Concert Series

All concerts at Howelsen Hill.

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and all ages are welcome.

There is plenty of open space towards the back of the venue for kids to play. Many of our vendors have great options for kid friendly food and treats. Some kids like to have earmuffs or ear plugs because the music gets loud.

Outside food & beverages are not allowed at the shows. Food and drinks, including beer and bottled alcoholic drinks, are available for sale at the show. Beer sales support the concert series and future series.

Gates open at 5:30pm. Concerts start with an opening band, followed by the main act. Concerts are usually finished around 9 or 9:15 pm.

Join us for Routt County Search and Rescue Family Fun Day! Bring the kids to check out our trucks/equipment and for fun games and activities. Enjoy free hot dogs and snacks on us. Schedule permitting Classic Air Medical will land their helicopter on Vanatta Field around noon. Invite your friends and we’ll see you there!

Yampa River Festival 2025

The flagship event of Friends of the Yampa, the Yampa River Festival, is a true hometown celebration of our friend the Yampa River. This event is fun for kids of all ages to watch, with lots of food and festivities along the banks of the Yampa River!

It is with great thanks to all the passionate and dedicated river enthusiasts, partners, and supporters that this event continues to be the gem that it is today. While following all the latest safety guidelines, we hope that our river friends will join us to celebrate this year’s Yampa River Festival on Saturday Ma7 31, 2025 and Sunday June 1, 2025.
