The Steamboat Springs School District is offering free Child Find screening opportunities for children ages 3–5 who are not yet enrolled in kindergarten. These screenings include developmental, vision, and hearing checks to help families better understand their child’s growth and development.
Child Find screenings look at important areas such as speech and language, motor skills, social-emotional development, vision, hearing, and early learning skills. The screening is play-based, quick, and designed to be comfortable for young children.
Screenings are not a test or diagnosis. They provide an opportunity to learn more about your child’s development and connect families with helpful resources and support, if needed.
These screenings are open to families who have questions or concerns, as well as those who simply want to check on their child’s developmental progress.
