Now your family can enjoy the slopes for absolutely FREE at North America’s Oldest Operating Ski Area and Steamboat’s original ski area. \nColorado’s most affordable Sunday lift ticket is a way to celebrate the community’s Olympian spirit and honor the tradition of this historic ski area. Skiing since 1915\, Howelsen Hill has produced nearly 100 winter Olympians and has helped generations of Steamboat residents enjoy the sport. \nDuring the season\, it’s as easy as simply stopping into the Ticket Office to pick up your free ticket\, which is required to access the lifts and the Nordic trails (cross-country\, fat bike and snowshoe) on these special ski free days. \nAfter each Ski Free Sunday\, continue your Free Spree that same day at Mountain Tap Brewery (910 Yampa Street) with a free beer (certain beers excluded) or a cauldron of popcorn from 2 PM to 5 PM by simply showing your Ski Free Sunday lift ticket. The brewery even crafted a special seasonal beer in honor of the ski area – Howelsen Haze IPA.

For several days\, the entire town is given over to racing\, ski jumping\, a parade featuring Steamboat’s skiing high school band (the only one in the United States)\, the famous ski jöring events down Lincoln Avenue\, and the spectacular night show featuring the legendary Lighted Man and fireworks display where you can see one of the largest fireworks in the country! DESCRIPTION:A fun and mindful after-school activity designed to help kids ages 4-8 move\, stretch\, and unwind! \nWHEN:\nThursday from 4:30 – 5:30 pm\, starting January 8 – March 26 \nWHAT:\nThis 12-week kids yoga program introduces young yogis to balance\, breathwork\, and playful movement in a supportive environment. It’s the perfect after-school option for kids to practice yoga while parents take BODYPUMP\, work out\, or relax in the hot springs. These classes are fun\, mindful\, connective\, and the benefits are many\, including increased focus\, emotional and body awareness\, access to stillness\, social regulation\, and physical foundations of strength and flexibility. \nINVESTMENT:\n$100 for the 12 sessions (members or non-members) or $10 drop-in (participants must register at the front desk). Members may register online using the members portal\, and guests may register here. Members and guests can also register by stopping by or calling the OTHS front desk at 970-879-1828. \nINSTRUCTOR BIO:\nHalli is an elementary educator of 10 years with 20 years of experience in childcare. She’s been practicing yoga since she was a teenager and teaching kids’ yoga since her early 20s. At 32\, Halli is eager to share her love of yoga with all\, especially young people because they are the roots of our future.
