DESCRIPTION:As a tribute to local pioneer artist Lulie Crawford\, the Tread of Pioneers Museum shares the story of Lulie and her pioneering family\, followed by watercolor instruction with professional artist Dona Steele of the Steamboat Art Museum. Then the program participants paint their own wildflower watercolor masterpieces\, just like Lulie! \nThe program is free and takes place at the Yampa River Botanic Park – 1000 Pamela Lane. Participants should meet at the large umbrella in the center of the park. All painting supplies are provided by the museum\, and reservations are not required. Ages six and up with caregiver onsite.

Children aged 6 to 12 can join the Calf Scramble\, where they dash around the arena aiming to grab a ribbon from a calf’s tail. For the younger ones\, the Ram Scramble invites kids 5 and under to chase a sheep in a similar fun-filled challenge. These events are free with rodeo admission and provide memorable experiences for young participants. \nKids under 6 get free admission to the Rodeo\, prices vary for kids ages 7 – 18 and adults depending on your preferred seating.
