Now your family can enjoy the slopes for absolutely FREE at North America’s Oldest Operating Ski Area and Steamboat’s original ski area. \nColorado’s most affordable Sunday lift ticket is a way to celebrate the community’s Olympian spirit and honor the tradition of this historic ski area. Skiing since 1915\, Howelsen Hill has produced nearly 100 winter Olympians and has helped generations of Steamboat residents enjoy the sport. \nDuring the season\, it’s as easy as simply stopping into the Ticket Office to pick up your free ticket\, which is required to access the lifts and the Nordic trails (cross-country\, fat bike and snowshoe) on these special ski free days. \nAfter each Ski Free Sunday\, continue your Free Spree that same day at Mountain Tap Brewery (910 Yampa Street) with a free beer (certain beers excluded) or a cauldron of popcorn from 2 PM to 5 PM by simply showing your Ski Free Sunday lift ticket. DESCRIPTION:Connect\, create and craft together! We’re feeling crafty! Join us at the Bud Werner Memorial Library every Tuesday at 4:30pm to learn new crafting skills and explore exciting creative outlets. This weekly program is for kids ages 8 and older and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. This program is free and all materials will be provided with a few exceptions\, which you will be alerted to upon registration. \nOctober is Tie Dye Month – Learn a new tie dye style each week.\nNovember is Painting Month – Explore new painting styles each week\, fun for every skill level.\nDecember is DIY Gifts – Each week will feature a new craft that makes the perfect gift.\nJanuary is Book Bedazzling – We encourage attendance all month\, as this craft is a practice in focus and patience. By the end of the month your favorite book will be bedazzled top to bottom! \nPre-registration is required\, limited space reserved for those that arrive first come\, first served on the day of the event! Story baskets are a tool that can help children develop early literacy skills\, practice storytelling\, and engage in imaginative play. We use items based upon the characters and/or settings in our books to support a child’s retelling\, re-imagining\, or re-engaging with a story. Many of these story basket activities will have the option of a to-go bag so you can continue the fun at home! These baskets will be geared towards toddlers & preschoolers\, ages 2-5.
