SUMMARY:Tread of Pioneers 32nd Annual Festival of Trees
DESCRIPTION:November 13 – November 28\, 2026\nTuesday-Saturday\, 11 am to 5 pm (Closed Thanksgiving)\nLocation: Steamboat Springs History Museum\nCost: FREE to all Routt County residents; regular admission prices for out-of-town visitors. \n\n\nDon’t miss the 32nd Annual Festival of Trees from Nov. 13 – Nov. 28 (open Tuesday-Saturday\, 11am-5pm; closed Thanksgiving) at the Steamboat Springs History Museum. Yampa Valley Bank\, Steamboat Sotheby’s\, Dusky Grouse Coffee\, and Steamboat Ace Hardware are again showing their devotion to the museum and our heritage by generously underwriting all of the costs for this fundraising event. \nThis family-focused\, pre-holiday tradition transforms the museum into a sparkling forest of 26+ holiday trees uniquely decorated by creative local organizations\, businesses\, and individuals. The Festival is the museum’s primary fundraising event\, and proceeds support museum preservation and educational activities. \nWe would like to thank all of the decorators and local business sponsors who make this event possible. Nearly 50 groups\, organizations\, schools\, and businesses\, along with the museum’s volunteer corps\, come together to make this a true community event. \nFESTIVAL OF TREES OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.\nThe Festival is a great opportunity for families to take their holiday photos in the trees for Christmas cards or to send to the grandparents. While you’re here\, vote for your favorite tree or find the golden keys hidden in the trees. \nAll local families are invited to Pioneer Christmas Story-time for Kids – Nov. 14 at 11am. You can also get your holiday shopping done early in the one-of-a-kind Museum Store where you’ll find historical books\, photographs\, and more! \nWith the generosity of our sponsors\, all Festival of Trees events are FREE to all Routt County residents; regular admission prices apply to out-of-town visitors. Don’t miss the light and magic of the Festival of Trees!
