SUMMARY:Lulie Crawford's Wildflower and Watercolors
DESCRIPTION:As a tribute to local pioneer artist Lulie Crawford\, the Tread of Pioneers Museum shares the story of Lulie and her pioneering family\, followed by watercolor instruction with professional artist Dona Steele of the Steamboat Art Museum. Then the program participants paint their own wildflower watercolor masterpieces\, just like Lulie! \nThe program is free and takes place at the Yampa River Botanic Park – 1000 Pamela Lane. Participants should meet at the large umbrella in the center of the park. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. All painting supplies are provided by the museum\, and reservations are not required. Ages six and up with caregiver onsite. \nWhen Lulie Crawford was eight years old\, she came to the Yampa Valley in 1876 with her family from Missouri. She loved to be outside exploring and finding wildflowers. From these experiences\, Lulie developed a love of the natural beauty of the Steamboat Springs area and its wildflowers\, which she captured in her watercolor paintings.

SUMMARY:Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:There’s no better way to spend a summer evening in Steamboat Springs than under the lights at the Steamboat Pro Rodeo. Running every Friday and Saturday all summer long\, this Western tradition is packed with food\, live music\, and the kind of rowdy\, cheering-from-the-stands energy that kids love — plus the chance to watch real cowboys and cowgirls compete for serious prize money. \nLittle ones under six get in free\, and kids can jump right into the action with two crowd-favorite arena events (no registration needed — just listen for the announcer). Winners take home a prize. \n\nRam Scramble (ages 5 & under): The littlest wranglers chase a gentle sheep around the arena to grab a ribbon.\nCalf Scramble (ages 6–12): Older kids race to be the first to snag the ribbon tied to a calf’s tail — fast\, funny\, and one of the most memorable moments of the night.\n\nCome early\, grab dinner\, and settle in for an unforgettable Steamboat summer night. \n2026 Schedule — All performances begin at 7:30 PM. \n\nFront gate opens at 5:30 PM\nLive music starts at 5:45 PM\nBBQ starts at 6:00 PM\n\n2026 Rodeo Dates: June 19–20 · June 26–27 · July 2\, 3 & 4 · July 10–11 · July 17–18 · July 24–25 · July 31–Aug 1 · Aug 7–8 · Aug 14–15 · Aug 21–22 · Aug 28–29
