Saturday, July 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Join western Colorado bison project archaeologist Holly “Sunny” Shelton from Dominique’s Archaeological Research Group to explore the bison-human relationship in Colorado. This event is recommended for ages 6 through 12. It’s a free program with the Steamboat Springs History Museum, formerly known as the Tread of Pioneers Museum.

Kids will:

  • examine real bison bones
  • get hands-on with artifacts
  • meet a real archaeologist
  • discover how people and bison lived in Colorado long ago

There is also an adult program with overlapping topics on July 10th at noon.
