Rocky Mountain Youth Corps 1st Annual Gear Drive
Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) is launching its first-ever Gear Drive, a new initiative designed to directly support its field programs by equipping crews with the essential gear needed for an expanded season of conservation and backcountry work across Northwest Colorado.
As RMYC increases its emphasis on backcountry programming, the need for durable, reliable outdoor equipment continues to grow. For many of the young people we serve, this program is their first opportunity to step into the backcountry, carry everything they need on their backs, and discover what they are capable of. The Gear Drive provides an impactful way for community members to support this work while helping remove barriers for young people to get outside and participate in meaningful service.
RMYC is seeking new or gently used gear that’s clean, functional, and ready for adventure! As you do your spring cleaning, give your extra outdoor items a second life. Your gear will go straight into the hands of young people who are building trails, restoring ecosystems, and gaining confidence through their time in the field.
