Hayden Play and Learn — September 2026

Hayden Play and Learn is a free-flowing morning gathering for caregivers and their little ones, hosted by the Family Development Center’s Newborn Network. Each session pairs open play with a weekly theme, giving kids a chance to move, explore, and make friends while grown-ups connect with other local families. Drop in for one session or make it a weekly routine.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30–11:30am, Hayden Center, 495 W Jefferson Avenue, Hayden.

• Tue Sep 1 — All About Me: because I’m one of a kind!
• Thu Sep 3 — Little Explorers: making friends, playing together, and letting imaginations soar
• Tue Sep 8 — Little Explorers: Our World, Our Experiences: learning from daily routines and neighborhood adventures
• Thu Sep 10 — Hello, Neighbor: exploring the neighborhood (bring walking shoes and a way to carry your little one)
• Tue Sep 15 — Itsy Bitsy Fun: sing, rhyme, wiggle, and learn through play
• Thu Sep 17 — Monkey See, Monkey Do: wiggle, move, and find new ways to get active together
• Tue Sep 22 — Keep Trying, Keep Exploring: little learners discover big things, like cardboard boxes
• Thu Sep 24 — Curious Minds, Busy Hands: exploring and experimenting through play
• Tue Sep 29 — Tiny Tries, Big Discoveries: learning that trying again leads to exciting discoveries

Books of the month: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and The Watermelon Seed. Nursery rhyme of the month is “Monkey See, Monkey Do.”
